I just thought I'd share a couple layouts I did. Nothing Spectacularly Amazing about them, but they're about family. And that seems to be what's on my mind the most lately.

I really raked it in on my birthday this year. It's a funny story really. Last year I turned 40 and I was really upset by that. Money was tight, I didn't like (and still don't) the way I looked and didn't want to start a new decade looking like that, and 40's just sounds old. So I wouldn't let anyone celebrate my birthday. No party. No presents. Just another day. But now that I've gotten over that milestone I have come to accept that I can't do anything to stop the years from flying by. So, my family made it up to me this year and really got me some great gifts...A water lounge so I can float in the pool and barely get wet! A mp3 player so I can listen to music and our pastors sermons while I walk. A TV for my scrapbook room. And my kids gave me money...I mentioned that I wanted a home photography studio (which Creating Keepsakes featured in last months issue). They knocked themselves out trying to find it but unfortunately, there is no such product around to be purchased either in a store or online. They said they even emailed CK and never got a response. So anyone know what I'm talking about and you know where to find it, please let me know!
Well, we finally got that darn grill put together yesterday...only took us 2 hours. But we did it and it worked great last night.

This one's for my son, Adam. He's a volunteer fire fighter and wants to do it as a career. The journaling reads: I love to see the excitement on your face, the spark in your eye, everytime your radio alarm goes off signaling a fire. I know with your determination you'll be a career Firefighter someday.
Of course, this is Lillie. Can you believe I put that many photos on one layout? ...very unusual for me. But I'll probably scrap some of these pictures more that once.
and this is the view from my front porch...i love my front porch!
