I taught a 4 hour class today. Whew, we made a whole baby album. The class went fine, it's just a lot of pages to get through during one class.
Then I came home and scrapbooked as my little reward to myself. I plan on doing some more tonight, but this is what I have so far. I took a picture instead of scanning because I don't quite have my new scanner figured out. If anyone has some tips on taking pictures of layouts please share them with me. Thanks. Posted by Picasa

He won...my favorite contestant won ... except for Chris, of course! It was a really great show this year. Seems like they worked hard on making the whole show entertaining, not just the last 5 minutes.
Then I watched the finale episode of Top Chef. I know. I know. I really need to get a life. I'm just addicted to reality TV. But anyway, my favorite won Top Chef as well. Here's Harold, the new Top Chef:

I have one more "final episode" to watch...The Apprentice, on Monday night. I'm looking forward to that.
I have to work today, but I think I'll post a couple of my latest layouts tonight. Hope you have a great day!

Today I spent the day scrappin' with my friend, Jill. HI JILL!!! Good creative fun. Not a whole lot done, but still a lot of fun.
Then Joey and I went out to La Siesta for dinner. You all know how much I love La Siesta. The chips, the salsa, the margarita's...needless to say we had a good time!
So, tonight is the season finale of American Idol. I actually voted last night for my favorite contestant....I'll let you know if my choice wins after the show...I don't want to jinx it!

It's Official!

Well, it's official...Adam graduated high school this morning.
He's over there somewhere!!! He had 294 people in his class and it's amazing how fast they have this whole graduating process down. We were out of there in just under and hour (yeah!) Then everyone came over for some good food and a little party. Both sets of grandparents, his girlfriend and her mom, sisters, and some friends. I think it really made Adam feel special. I made a dvd of pictures from his birth to now and had that playing during the party. There is something about putting music to pictures that makes it real emotional...I can't tell you how many times Joey and I cried while getting that project together. But I think Adam appreciated it and everyone else had fun laughing at some of the goofy shots of him!
We also had a very yummy cake!
Now, everyone is gone and I've got a little time to rest before some friends come over for dinner. My allergy's are totally out of control today. Gonna have to find some drugs for that....and maybe take a nap! Talk to ya later!

I had a great visit with my mom on Sunday and Monday. I got some really great photos of her and my dad. And I'm really glad Amie and Lillie were able to come with me. We had a good time.
So yesterday I thought I better get back on my weight watchers program, and kinda de-tox from all of the junk food, and of course I get a head-ache. So I'm searching through the cabinet looking for Tylenol. I don't know how I missed that bright red cap on the bottle but I thought we didn't have any. So I took Advil instead. Big mistake. I forgot that it has a weird reaction in my body. My chest started closing in, I was having a hard time breathing. Had to call Joey to come home in case I really couldn't breath. My eyes were all itchy and watery. So I took 2 Benydryl...which of course put me right to sleep. I missed the first half of American Idol. Is anyone else out there allergic to Advil? My reaction seems to get worse each time I do that. I don't think I'll make that mistake again.
Well, Adam graduates on Saturday. So Joey and I are busy working around the house this week getting everything looking nice before his party. Lots to do! I'll post pictures tomorrow.
Have a great day!

He's Gone?

I have a confession to make....I am and American Idol addict. I never miss a show. And my favorite contestant was voted off last night. What the heck is wrong with you, America? Chris Daughtry was a total professional and the most consistent performer on the show. Of course, I always seem to like the rockers!!
Chris, I'll miss you....and I hope continued success comes your way.

My son just never ceases to amaze me. He is so totally different than me or my husband. Definitely an original. He already owns a truck ------->
...one of those little trucks that go up and down and makes that most annoying noise while your beside them at a traffic light. That is his prized possesion.
But now he's on this bigger is better kick, so he decided he needed a BIG truck and he just went out and bought this big old pick-up truck. Can you say REDNECK? I don't know where he gets it from!

As requested (uh-umm, Monica!), here are my Donna Downey inspired Love Letters. I love them and they look totally cool hangin at the end of my hall.
And, i just wanted tell you about my new favorite tool....the Cropadile. It has made me fall in love with eyelets all over again (yes, i actually have been using eyelets...i think they're coming back into style!) And it punches through thick chipboard so easily. If you don't have one yet, you better run to you LSS and get one!

time - 7:13 pm
Blogger is stupid. Can't upload pictures. Very mad. I'll try again later.

wheeew, I'm glad it's Monday. This last weekend was very fun, but kinda like a blurr. Big scrapbooking "stuff" at the store, Adam's Prom on Saturday night, a college fair yesterday. I need today to recover even though I'm working.
All of the classes seemed to go great. The Bazzill chicks are awesome teachers and just really great friends.
Donna Downey was really fun and focused on being creative, so I totally appreciated that.

Next subject....Adam's Prom.

I think he looks very hansome, don't you?! And of course, Nikki looks absolutely beautiful! Adam said they had a lot of fun. It was so funny how he really acted like it was no big deal and that he was only going because of Nikki. But once he got that Tux on he really got into the Prom spirit! They had professional pictures done at Lovelace Photography, then dinner at The Melting Pot in Nashville, then Prom, then After Prom. He got home at 5:45 am then got up at 2:00 pm to rush to work until about 1:30 am this morning. Then got up at 6:00 am to go to school. I don't know how he does it, but he's counting the days until no more school...I think he has 11 school days left. Whoo-Hoo!
Before I rush off to work I just wanted to let Sonia know that I'm such a blogger dweeb. I totally forgot about my little "L" assignment. I've got it half done and I'll finish it tonight! Have a great day.
