Lillie went to her first day of Kindergarten at John Pittard Elementary today. I can't believe that time has flown by so quickly. She had a lot of fun and even ate lunch there (which is a very big deal for her).

More pictures of Lillie
If your not family then you'll probably be bored looking at this slide show. It's almost all pictures of the many poses Lillie likes to make. I told ya'll that she really does think she's America's Next Top Model.

Photo's from our weekend!

For those of you who did not already know this, Christian is spending her summer working at Dollywood. She's participating in a leadership type camp in conjunction with Young Life called Discipleship Focus She gets to live in a cabin with 7 other college girls, work at Dollywood (and get paid!) and participate in bible study and discipleship activities. She is having a great time and I'm very proud of her. Anyway, we went to visit her this weekend and had a great time.

Our Fourth of July
We celebrated my Mom & Dad's 50th anniversary on the Fourth of July at their home in Paducah, Kentucky. It was a big day long celebration with family and friends.
50 years together
My mom and dad celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 4th. We had a big celebration with family and friends at their home in Paducah, KY. The Fourth of July is always a big celebration in my family, but this year was extra special. I am proud of my parents for staying together all these years through the good and the bad. They set an example for me and also for my children. To honor them I made a video of their years together. I hope you enjoy it.

Date Night!
Last week Joey decided it was time to take his favorite granddaughter out on her first date. He formally asked her and of course she said yes. I don't think he was prepared for the impact this would have on her. She has talked about it everyday since then and she had to go and buy a new outfit which she picked out herself. She found a frilly dress with gloves and purse to match. She called him from the mall to see if dancing would be involved (her exact words! LOL). He told her that dinner and a movie would probably be a better idea. So,they just left to have dinner at Chef Wangs before catching Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who! at the movies. I think they were both pretty excited and I can't wait to hear all about it.

Check this out...
Look at this...I just put this up in my scrapbook room. It's just a giant rub-on and then I hung 3 12x12 frames below it thinking I could add a layout to each one later on. But I kinda like the empty frames for now. Cool, huh?

We're Back!
We're back and here is a link to all of the pictures:
I'm busy trying to get caught up on laundry and cleaning the house. Adam did a good job of watering the plants outside and taking care of the dogs, but the house was just plain ole dirty...not his fault...I let it get out of control before I left.

The Beach
Today we went over to Cocoa Beach so Lillie could experience that. We had a great day, unfortunatly we all got a little burnt...especially Amie. I feel responsible because I'm her mother and also because I know how powerful the sun can be. :( Hopefully she will be better tomorrow. Sea World here we come!

As I write this post we are roling down I-75 just about to get on the Florida Turnpike (I borrowed Christian’s laptop)…about an hour away from Orlando. It’s sunny and very hot…just like it should be in Florida in June. We’ve been listening to some really fine music. Ya’ know how you feel when you listen to songs that were hits when you were in high school, and it takes you back to simpler times when your biggest worries you had were what you were going to wear that day to look cute…that’s what we’ve been feeling. I spent about an hour before we left downloading some great 70’s classic songs and burnt them on 3 CD’s. We have had a very nostalgic drive to say the least. Okay, this is really going to show my age, but they made some really great music back then: Foreigner, Boston, Journey, Styx, Bread, England Dan & John Ford Coley (?Joey picked that one out) Bee Gees, James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Good Stuff, guys. Good Stuff. Takes you back, doesn’t it?!
